The home my family and I live in was built in 1885. It isn’t historic, the floor plan is offbeat, and it needed a lot of work, but we felt it was worth saving. We tore through layers of the past and repaired our home. We started 1885 Home because we believe other old-fashioned ways are worth saving, too—things like honest work, empathy in customer service, and genuine care for neighbors and community.
